Self-similar tile-map

Imagine a room with a simple tiled pattern like this on its floor.

Let’s represent the whole floor within each tile with a colorless hash-line pattern.

With a single (moving) orange dot let’s indicate where each tile is with respect to the whole floor.

Then the whole thing would look like this (click for bigger versions).

Every time you looked down at the floor on this self-similar tile-map perhaps you would remember that travelling adage, wherever you go, there you are.

Here’s the top right quarter, just to better appreciate the details of the pattern.
