Just some simple drawings on what one good day seemed to me to be the main components of education.
Illustrated through capoeira, it should apply to any field: programming, foreign languages, medicine… right?
Perhaps it can be of interest to others, spur interesting conversation?

Maybe “Doing” should be “Practicing”? Otherwise I don’t see a lot of difference between Doing and Imitation.
“Practicing” would also be a good label and I did consider it. I chose “doing” because I wanted a simpler, more general word.
“Imitation” is passive: you observe others and pay attention to how they do what you’re trying to learn. “Doing” is active: you actually practice what you are trying to learn, ideally within a framework that provides structure, feedback, and motivation—in other words, within a game. Of course all these 5 components are often intertwined, but I think it’s useful to consider them separately.
In the drawings, I tried to make the colors meaningful. The Green(-horn) stick figure is the newbie, watching in “Imitation” how the Blue one stands on its hands and how in “Exposition” Blue explains and points out the crucial parts of the technique. In “Doing”, Green tries the handstanding, aided and corrected by Blue. In “Conversation” they ask each other questions and finally in “Teaching” it has come the turn for Green to teach newcomer Pink.
