Baka!

Damn! Damn! Damn! I just lost two hours trying to recover a photo in Flickr. It wasn’t that important but it just pains me everytime I lose something great for not saving it. Baka!

Even so, my vagrant vagaries brought me something mind-blowingly useful: Flickr leech Tired of paging? Search Flickr in 200-photo chunks.

And I’m happy I found grace (Parental advisory: beautiful nudity ahead))

Well helo there,

You should’ve seen my face when i opened grace (now might be a good time to inform that i’m currently at school, and they have strict policies over nudity), i’m quite open to nudity and whatnot, but it was funny as hell…

could it be too much to ask for red-colored links in those cases? :p

anyways, i’ve got a couple (and by couple i mean 4) of operative questions for you:
what language did you use to code eemadges? did you wrote your blog? if so, what language did you use? and last, do you know any advantages of mysql?

saludos!

Lol! Sorry for disgracing you. To be honest, a big part of me has no intention whatsoever of bending (or even adapting) to your school—which btw reminds me of Red China, what with the ridiculous policies and the net filtering you mentioned in another comment—stupid rules & prejudices of the day, not caring for them a wit. But since is not my ass on the line, I’ll relent and think of some kind of notice.

I coded eemadges in Rails, which is a web-app framework (an app to write web-apps) written in Ruby. I couldn’t recommend both of them higher. Of my blog I only wrote scraps and pieces, for the most part I used Typo, which is a blog engine written on top of Rails—yep, software is all about layers. And regarding mySQL, I frankly know nothing about databases. I only went with mySQL because I heard it was easy and ubiquitous. A friend did a much more detailed analysis of all sorts of web-app considerations (among them, chosing a database) here—perhaps you’ll find it useful.
